What is an escape room?

Upon arrival, take a seat in our cozy lounge. After a brief explanation of the game rules, the Game Master will lead you to the door of your escape room of choice. As soon as the door is closed, a video introduction is played in which the theme and storyline of the room are introduced and instructions are given on how to get started. The target? Find the hidden objects, search for clues and solve the puzzles to escape in less than 60 minutes OR ELSE...

How long does an escape game take?

You have 60 minutes to complete the chosen mission and escape the room. But count on an extra 15 minutes for the intro + 15 minutes after the game. And if desired, taking a photo (so in total 1.5 hours max).

How many people can we play with in each room?

Sint-Niklaas:

The "Joker's Shelter" can be played with 3 to 12 people. In addition, "The Hidden Maya City" can accommodate 2 to 7 people.

How much does an escape room cost?

Our prices are:

- starting from 6 players / team = € 20 each person

- 5 players / team = € 22 each person

- 4 players / team = € 25 each person

- 3 players / team = € 30 each person

- 2 players / team = € 35 each person

When are we expected to show up?

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the start. Only then are we sure that you can start on time.

How many people can play per time slot? Can you receive large groups?

In our escape room "The Hidden Maya City" there is room for groups of 2 to 7 people; we also have a larger room called "Joker's Shelter" that can accommodate groups up to 12 people. All our escape rooms are private experiences; this means that your group will not be combined with others. Anyone planning a company trip, team building event, birthday party or bachelor party is encouraged to contact us. Regardless of the size of the group or the type of event, the friendly staff at Escape Room Vlaanderen in Sint-Niklaas will meet all your needs; within the limits of the possible ;-)

Can children also come and play in Escape Room Flanders?

Yes, that is possible, For children we always recommend choosing the Joker’s Shelter in Sint-Niklaas. We have already received several groups with children. This always went smoothly and the children had a lot of fun. Our only condition is that children under the age of 14 are best accompanied by 1 or 2 adults.

Are smartphones, backpacks, food / drinks or cameras allowed in the room?

We cannot allow smartphones, food or drinks in our escape rooms. We can also forbid entry to someone who is drunk. You can safely store all your personal belongings in our lockers. This is done to ensure the privacy of the escape room.

What if more or fewer people come to play than indicated in the booking?

You can always change the number of participants in your booking via the link in your confirmation email.

Will there be other people in the escape room with us?

No, this is not possible. When you book the room, it is a private session and only you and your team will be inside the room.

Is your escape room suitable for pregnant women?

Our games have physical aspects but no room requires everyone to crawl, climb or exert themselves. We are happy to welcome pregnant ladies but at the same time advise that they only participate in what they are comfortable with, and that they should not feel pressured to participate in the more physically demanding aspects. The door can be easily opened from the inside, so if a person has to leave for any reason during the game, they can! You can also request a chair in your room. We are not responsible for any accidents!

How do I know my booking has been confirmed?

After making your reservation you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Be sure to also look in your "spam folder". In addition, you will receive a reminder e-mail 1 day in advance.

I cannot find the desired time in the booking system. What should I do?

Feel free to send us an email or call us. Together we will try and find out what's possible.

Can the escape room also be played in English?

Yes, all our escape rooms can be adapted for English speakers.

Is it suitable for people with epilepsy or claustrophobia?

Each escape room in Sint-Niklaas has an emergency button / key. You can therefore leave the room at any time. We can also keep the door slightly open if the entire group agrees.

Is it possible to play the escape room with deaf / hard of hearing people?

The players are shown tips on a TV screen. Meanwhile background music is being played but it's not essential to play the escape game.

Are your escape rooms "terrifying"?

Our rooms are fun, challenging and intense. The pressure can build up as time goes by, and things can get a little crazy in the rooms! Think of it like a movie or story that you have to finish!

Are your escape rooms accessible for wheelchair users?

Sint-NIklaas:

Both rooms are on the 1st floor. Can the person in question climb the stairs? If so, our escape rooms can be played perfectly. There are no narrow passages (in "The Joker's Shelter"). We can also place a chair in the room, if required.

Can I pay on the spot?

You can only pay on the spot with Bancontact. Cash is not accepted for security reasons.

What happens if we want to cancel our reservation?

1) a reservation can be rescheduled to a later date (free of charge).

2) your reservation will be canceled free of charge at any time.

Where can I find parking?

- SINT-NIKLAAS:

We are located on the Grote Markt in Sint-Niklaas. This has an underground parking at very competitive rates. From Monday to Saturday, it's € 1.20 per hour. After 6 PM it becomes €0.60 per hour.
